Happy Father's Day!
Updated: Jul 5
“A father holds his daughter’s hand for a short while, but he holds her heart forever.”
Hey there, readers!!
On this lively day dedicated to our fathers, I have written a poem for my dad. Have a look!
When I shed tears,
You feel them rolling down your cheeks.
When I am chirpy,
Your cheerfulness has no peak!!
Oh, this incredible reality
Makes me skip high with glee!
But it's so ironical, right?
You can read my face at the first sight
But even if I try with all my might,
To read your face, I give a strong fight,
But your emotions hold really tight
And are never revealed, not even a slight!
You have done loads of stuff for us,
Can't we even do the tiniest bit!
We're aware you simply want us to enjoy,
But dad, don't you think we are fit
To take some load off your shoulders
And to remove some of your duty boulders?
Ah, but yes, we're just too young
And might not be able to do that,
But don't forget dad,
One day will come
When we will be the accountable ones
And you will be the child some!!
But one thing
Which is everlasting
Is your ability to read our face,
That we are unable to embrace!
And, above all, your perpetual love,
Which you have consistently given us
Is a pure peaceful dove
It is your endless eternal love.
